Wedding Prep in OKC: Your 6-Month Beauty Timeline.

You have the venue booked (maybe the beautiful Dominion House or the sleek Jones Assembly). You found the dress. You have tasted the cake. But what about your skin?

Every bride wants to glow on her wedding day. You want your makeup to sit flawlessly, your arms to look toned in your dress, and your energy to last through the reception. But "perfect" skin doesn't happen overnight. It takes planning.

At KC Wellness, located inside Refined OKC, we specialize in bridal prep. We know that the last thing you need is a surprise breakout or a "frozen" forehead the week of your wedding. That is why we recommend starting your beauty journey at least six months out.

Here is the expert-approved timeline to ensure you walk down the aisle feeling like the most beautiful version of yourself.

6 Months Out: The "Foundation" Phase

  • Focus: Skin Texture & Acne Scarring

  • Treatment: SkinPen Microneedling Series

If you are dealing with acne scars, uneven texture, or large pores, now is the time to start fixing it. Collagen takes time to build. We recommend a Series of 4 Microneedling treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

  • Why start now? This gives your skin ample time to heal and rebuild collagen deep within the dermis. By the time your wedding rolls around, your skin will be naturally smoother and firmer.

  • The Investment: Our Face/Neck Series is $1,600.00 and includes a post-procedure kit to speed up your results.

3-4 Months Out: The "Structure" Phase

  • Focus: Volume & Contour

  • Treatment: Sculptra or Dermal Fillers

Do you want slightly fuller lips for the "You May Kiss the Bride" moment? Or perhaps more definition in your cheeks?

  • Why do it now? You never want to try new filler too close to the big day. Doing this 3–4 months out allows any swelling or bruising to completely heal and the product to "settle" naturally into your tissue.

  • The Plan: If you are using Sculptra for long-term collagen growth, this is the crucial window to get your injections so the results peak just in time for your photos.

1 Month Out: The "Smooth & Bright" Phase

  • Focus: Wrinkle Prevention & Pigment

  • Treatment: Botox/Dysport & BBL Laser

This is the sweet spot for your neuromodulators.

  • Botox/Dysport ($13/unit): We recommend getting your injections 3–4 weeks before the wedding. This allows the product to fully kick in (which takes 14 days) and gives us time for a quick touch-up if needed. You want to look smooth, but still able to smile and cry happy tears naturally.

  • BBL Laser: If you have any lingering sun spots from your bachelorette party or summer lake days, a quick BBL treatment can clear the pigment so your skin looks porcelain-smooth in photos.

1 Week Out: The "Glow" Phase

  • Focus: Hydration & Radiance

  • Treatment: Diamond Glow Facial

Seven days before the wedding, step away from the harsh peels. Now is the time for gentle, profound hydration.

  • The Diamond Glow: This 3-in-1 treatment exfoliates, extracts, and infuses your skin with hydrating serums. It creates that "glass skin" look that makeup artists love. Because there is zero downtime, it is the perfect final polish.

The Day Before: The "Energy" Phase

  • Focus: Immunity & Calm

  • Treatment: Myer’s Cocktail IV + NAD+

Wedding weeks are stressful. You aren't sleeping enough, you might be dehydrated, and you are surrounded by people. The last thing you want is to wake up on your wedding day with a headache or a cold.

  • The Solution: Book a Myer’s Cocktail IV ($150.00) to flood your system with Vitamin C, Magnesium, and B Vitamins.

  • Pro Tip: Add NAD+ ($100.00) to banish brain fog and anxiety, ensuring you are present, calm, and energized for every moment.
